The Children’s Railway
The real trains ply and make stops at the real stations on the children’s railway. It was built in 1953.
The youngsters of 9-15 years work here as drivers, machinists and conductors. Any journey lasts about 10 minutes. You can travel by this fantastic railway since the beginning of May and to the last Sunday in August.
Today the children’s railway is equipped with two stations – “Yablonka” (“The apple tree”) and “Vyshenka” (The cherry”), a workshop, depot rolling stock, viaduct of 20 m.height and 100 m long, 2.5 km track.
The two locomotives and three carriages are equipped with radio communication, self-locking, power centralization. The cabins are equipped with computers in quantity of 16 pieces. There also are the sports grounds.

The fee: 2 UAN for adults, 1.50 UAN for children.
How to get there:
The kyiv children’s railway is situated in Sytets park.
From the subway station “Shylavska” sideways “Dorogozhychi” station take the trolleybus # 16, 19, 22, 27, 33. Drive up to I.Gonta street, then go on foot straight. You will see the park. Turn left in order to come to the station. The children’s railway station works on Sundays in May and on weekends in the summer.
From the subway station “Beresteyska” take a tram # 14 or # 15 to the stop “Shevtsova street”.
