Two years later the title of this skyscraper in Kiev will challenge Sky Towers’ complex near the Central Registry Office. The authors of the project are foreign architects who have extensive experience in building skyscrapers. For the first time in Kiev the building from top to bottom will be built – the bottom floors the excavators dig under those that have already been constructed!
It seems that the Sky Towers will be the first skyscraper in the old Shulyavka: on the other site from registry office the Victory Towers’ complex with two towers of 250 feet (1000053 floors) is planned to be build
Closer to Victory Square in place of the tobacco factory it is also expected to build high-rises. For a while the construction of business centre “Kiev City” in Rybal’s’kyi island is stalling. Though the idea to build up Khreshchatyk by skyscrapers, fortunately, remains only on paper, the future district of skyscrapers with the name “REGISTRY-City”, apparently, can become a reality pretty quickly. Indeed, at one time New York 102-storey “Empire State Building” 381 meters high in 1931 was built for thirteen months.
Sky Towers comprises two towers – 34-storey buildings and 47-storey stylobate part, 2-story bank building, and 8-level parking underground. Currently, the object is the highest construction site in Ukraine.
The 47-storey tower will house offices, and the roof will be equipped with a helipad
A 34-storey tower will lodge hotel Swissotel-Kiev, the management of which has already signed a contract with Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of international company Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. It is famous for the fact that already manages 95 resorts and hotels worldwide.
On the roof of the hotel a restaurant with summer terrace will be located and winter gardens with multilighted and tilted glass will add a full range of flavour at the junction of the two towers.
Date of alleged entry into service: the first quarter of 2012
Number of floors: 53
